一、不定代詞用法

(1)one, some 與 any

①one 可以泛指任何人，也可特指，復數(shù)為 ones。some 多用于肯定句，any 多用于疑問句和否定句。

One should learn to think of others.

Do you have any bookmarks?

No, I don’t have any bookmarks.

I have some questions to ask.

②some 可用于疑問句中，表示盼望得到肯定的答復，或者表示建議，請求等。

Would you like some bananas? Could you give me some money?

③some 和 any 修飾可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)時，some 表示某個，any 表示任何一個。

I have read this article in some magazine. Please correct the mistakes, if any.

④some 和數(shù)詞連用表示“大約”，any 可與比較級連用表示程度。

There are some 3,000 students in this school. Do you feel any better today?

(2)each 和 every

each 強調個別，代表的數(shù)可以是兩個或兩個以上，而 every 強調整體，所指的數(shù)必須是三個或三個以上。

Each student has a pocket dictionary. / Each (of us) has a dictionary. / We each have a dictionary. Every student has strong and weak points. / Every one of us has strong and weak points.

(3) no, no one, nobody, none

①no 等于 not any，作定語。

There is no water in the bottle.

②no one=nobody，兩者均只能指人不指物，其后通常不接 of 短語，作主語時謂語用單數(shù)。

No one / Nobody likes it.

③none 既可指人也可指物，作主語或賓語，代替不可數(shù)名詞，謂語用單數(shù)，代替可數(shù)名詞，謂語單復數(shù)皆可以。其后也通常接 of 短語。例如：

How much water is there in the bottle? None. /None of the students are (is) afraid of difficulties.

④none 有時暗示一種數(shù)量，即指數(shù)量上“一個也沒有”，而 no one 或 nobody則往往表示一種全面否定，即指“誰都沒有”，所以在回答 how many 或 how much 的提問時，通常用 none，而在回答who 的提問時，通常用 no one 或 nobody。

such 的用法

1.表示“那樣的”、“這樣的”，與 no, any, some, all, few, many, each, every, several, other, another, one, two 等詞語連用應置于其后，但是，與不定冠詞連用時，要置于其前。如：

There’s no such thing as ghosts.沒有鬼這樣的東西。

He couldn’t afford to pay such a price.他出不起這樣的價錢。

注：受 no such 修飾的名詞無需再用冠詞。如：

There is no such thing as a free lunch.沒有免費的午餐。

2.比較 such…as 與 such…that

such…as 中的 as 是關系代詞，用以引導定語從句，在句中充當主語或賓語等，而 such…that 中的that 只起引導詞的作用，用以引導結果狀語。如：

I’ve never heard such stories as he tells. It’s such a heavy stone that I can’t move it.
