高考英語詞語辨析:roduce,product與production的區(qū)別

　　三者均可表示“產(chǎn)品”，其區(qū)別是：

　　1.produce主要指農(nóng)產(chǎn)品，是一個不可數(shù)的集合名詞。如：

　　We need some fresh produce.我們需要一些新鮮的農(nóng)產(chǎn)品。

　　The farmers brought their produce to town early each Saturday morning.每星期六清早農(nóng)民們就把農(nóng)產(chǎn)品運(yùn)進(jìn)城。

　　比較動詞用法：produce cars生產(chǎn)汽車

　　2.product主要指工業(yè)產(chǎn)品，也可指農(nóng)產(chǎn)品，是可數(shù)名詞。如：

　　Our car is a product of that factory.我們的車是那個工廠生產(chǎn)的。

　　The market sells food products.這家商店賣完食品。

　　Such farm products are cheap.那樣的農(nóng)產(chǎn)品不貴。

　　注：有時用于引申義。如：

　　He saw man as the product of society.他把人看作是社會的產(chǎn)物。

　　3.production通常不表示具體的產(chǎn)品，它主要指生產(chǎn)這一動作或過程，是不可數(shù)名詞。如：

　　The company is famous for the production of small cars.這家公司以生產(chǎn)小型汽車聞名。

　　注：production除表示“生產(chǎn)”外，還可指藝術(shù)作品，此時為可數(shù)名詞。如：

　　The theme of his late prodcutions was life and death.他晚期作品的主題是生與死。
